$2.75 Million Settlement in Fatal Misdiagnosis
S. v. Lauderdale
A 40-year-old diabetic male was admitted to Rush-Presbyterian-St.Luke’s Hospital apparently suffering from a hypoglycemic episode. The results of an EKG indicated that he suffered a heart attack. However, the heart attack was not diagnosed, and the man was discharged from the hospital two days later. He died the following month from a massive heart attack.
